A FLORIDA COURT SETS ATHEIST HOLY DAY
I know God is giggling!
A Florida Court Sets Atheist Holy Day! Gotta love this Judge!
You must read this...... A proper decision by the courts... for a change.
In Florida , an atheist created a case against Easter and Passover Holy days. He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians and Jews and observances of their holy days. The argument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized days.
The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring, "Case dismissed!"
The lawyer immediately stood and objecting to the ruling saying, "Your honor, How can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter and others.
The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah, yet my client and all other atheists have no such holidays..."
The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do. Your client, counselor, is woefully ignorant."
The lawyer said," Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for atheists."
The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is April Fool's Day. Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there is no God.' Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that, if your client says there is no God, then he is a fool. Therefore, April 1st is his day.
Court is adjourned..." , You gotta love a Judge that knows his scripture!
Hi Bob:
When I read this I began to think about the certain council person in our fair town that was offended because the saying of the Lord’s Pray was infringing on the “exclusive” types, whom by the way don’t give a rats ass about this at all.
Maybe I should send her a copy and ask that she put forward a motion to, announce, April 1st as a public holiday for all the non praying types that attend council meetings. And these are the same people that have a difficulty singing “Oh Canada” as well.
This begs the question, ”what does she do, if she goes to church”? My opinion she doesn’t go there often and when she does its for show and nothing else. It’s a personal thing, I will pray only when I want, but you can’t pray when we are in session at a meeting and I am there. wtf.???

Is this place going to hell or what??.
Hi Joe:
Thank you for the e-mail you sent about the Lady Prime Minister in Australia. It was very interesting, that one I sent to a council person in our fair city.
This person was not happy about the “stance” or “rhetoric” of the Prime minister and asked me not to send any more forwards to her, oops I wasn’t going to say that, and give away the persons ID. A big no-no. oh, well I guess that’s makes me a lawyer too, I am trying to spell liar,??.
This person was once offended because the council “said the Lord’s Prayer” at the beginning of each session and she felt there was exclusion to people of marginal faith. Not some faith, no faith and in order to be” inclusive” she felt the Lord’s Prayer was not providing this feature.
After some discussion and public input, which was minimal the act was passed to “exclude” the Lord’s prayer from the council and have a minute of silent reflection. Soon, the singing of the national hymn will be??. “exclusive”. Is this place going to hell or what??.
Tell you what, I am going to go there some time and say the Lord’s Prayer out loud. I wonder if I would be called on that and given a” suspension” from the inclusive council’s reflection in time moment.
Since, I would be the only person doing this action, that would make a “exclusive act” of defiance to the councils wishes. Another, no-no???. Stay tuned, I think I have found a purpose in life.
Anyway Joe, such is life and as long as the mug-wumps continue to thrive , there will always be some kind of strive and people that will take an “exception” to the rule and fight it. Which is a good thing we don’t want any “exclusions” to the likes of the “inclusive”.
Being well educated does make you any better than the person with a mental disability as matter of fact the person with a disability has a better out look than the educated person. The disabled person sees it for what it is and deals with it and gives a so what attitude and its done.
The high brow beats their chest and moans and cries and makes you want to put them out of their misery. A purpose in life has been found. So, in order to spread this misery around they elect themselves to serve the public and we soon regret ever voting the clods into office. “Misery loves company”, now you know where that saying came from. Just, saying.!!.
Thanks,Joe, say hi to the misse's.

Affirmation prayer, for a guy waiting for the dryer to finish drying?.
(I started to write this as an affirmation prayer and then it fell into an life experience so easily that this came naturally as you read it. I, guess I am still looking for answers to life’s mysteries and they are staring right in the face every day and I can’t see the forest for the trees. No, wonder I am confused. The random thoughts while waiting for the dryer to finish. Too, much time on my hands ?, I love it, multitasking,…..lol’s, it’s I can do to walk and talk.)
Dear God, my Lord and Friend, give me the vision and insight to see what's true in this confusing life of mine.
Life is confusing enough without me asking why me?
Life is all about doing for ours,
and not expecting anything in return.
That’s what my Mother had taught us.
The only exception might be, our children.
All we ask is for them to listen and respect.
Do your chores and quit complaining.
All I ask is for everyone to get along.
Yes, there will be problems, lets keep them small.
Talk the talk and walk the walk.
Prove yourself to be worthy of the life you have been given
And let us live it as best that we can.
Lord, struck me with cancer, its an question, no answer,
Why did I live and my did my friends died.?
Just, saying the word sent chills through out my being,
Now, its my companion, veiled within.
Once you get to know, what you know,
Its not so bad, but frightens other people.
They are over come with the fear of the unknown,
that its you, you, that comfort them.
Then, slowly and with not a malice purpose,
These, friends fade away, like yesterdays blooms.
Can, you call them friends now, ever again,
Or were they people that you knew in a former life.
Just as sure as death will claim us all,
They have died in our memories and wander the earth.
There is a lot, a lot of us, that have this foe,
A mortal fiend, if there ever was one.
Many names this foe has been called,
with his steely tension of unrelenting strength.
We, all battled together against a secreted foe,
Who shows up awkwardly and claims our lives.
Not only did it scare me, but my Families, our Friends Families.
Nearer my God to Thee was what I heard the most.
My favorite psalm was, the 23rd psalm,
The Lord is my Shepherd.
I, thank my brother-in-law Len, for his gift of hope,
The Gideon Bible traveling edition.
I now travel with it when ever I can.,
Small, fits anywhere.
At the lodge, We read this aloud everyday after our prayer,
And our numbers went from small to large.
We all gathered strength from the words,
And the company of our brotherly Soldiers.
As we prayed each and every day for strength,
To carry each other through the battle.
Through the chemo and radiation it sapped us,
Of our meager strength and résistance.
The hidden foe worked his sinister magic again and again,
And we fought back as best me could.
At days end we regrouped and counted the count,
Who was left and what do we do now.
Thank you, Lord, for the pills that helped us,
Through the retching pain and nausea.
On-dan-set-ron ,8 mg, what a name, for such a small pill,
I don’t care, it sure helped keep the stomach calm.
Funny, when you learn the small pill also helps,
Women who have morning sickness.
Also helps us to be cool, calm and collected,
I , have an appreciation for mother hood.
Why, it takes an illness to begin to appreciate,
What, other people have gone through before you.
It takes courage to lead the Family against the foe,
And through your example we know what to expect.
I am most grateful for the professionals who cared for us,
Their knowledge and compassion carried us along.
Kind and caring hands ,soothing and healing,
As the chemicals course though our veins.
And the rays of hidden searing power,
Attacking and eradicating the foe within.
The look of understanding and care,
Helps us, when our Families aren’t there.
These kind people whom I haven’t ever seen before,
Are helping, saving, our lives.
They, Treat this task as no big deal and yet,
We regard them as our Angels and Rescuer’s.
Some of them very young and delightful,
Envy them, it’s a sin isn’t it.
I, am glad they have chosen to pursue this course,
Against the foe, we need numbers.
I, have thought should, I ,be more like them,
Later, get better first, then plan the plan.
What’s hard about writing this experience,
Its, life, it, gets in the way.
I, have to clean up after breakfast and start the laundry,
And since we have all boys, the bathrooms, daily.
I can’t believe, such little boys,
Have such a powerful stream.
Truth, they can piss anywhere, but the toilet.
Just how big does it gotta be?.
I am thinking, time for them to begin,
To clean the pisser, you can bend over better than me.
Thank you Lord, not complaining, really,
Just telling like it is.
I have to say something, I do,
Because, no one around here listens, it seems.
Thank you Lord, for caring over me during the night,
So, I can be your humble servant again, this day. Amen.
